It is December and we are at the end of one year and on the brink of entering a new one. In the northern hemisphere what precedes the birth of the new year is the winter solstice, the longest night of the year. It is also the time of the new moon when even its light does not shine.
There is a still point and then the days will become gradually longer. The moon will drop her veil to become full once again in her monthly dance.
It is winter and many of the trees have shed their leaves to stand bare and empty until it is time for new growth to begin.
We can learn so much by just watching nature. Its willingness to be in darkness for a while, to be bare for a while.
My invitation at this time would be to take time to be empty… for a while.
To allow what no longer serves to fall away and to be bare… for a while.
To enter the stillness.
The sunrise slowly reveals a new day. The moon comes into her fullness in her own measured pace.
Breathe into your own natural rhythm and allow the new to be revealed.
